Guide

How do I ship a sample that is dangerous goods?

Start from the safety data sheet. The SDS sets the classification, the packing and which lanes accept the sample.

Updated

The SDS comes first

Ask for the SDS of each item before booking. A missing, outdated or ground-only SDS can say “not regulated” when the sample is regulated for air. We review the transport section and flash point ourselves before pickup.

Classification and acceptance

We confirm with you and the carrier how each item ships, then confirm the lane accepts it before pickup. We move all DG classes on all lanes.

Small does not mean exempt

Alcohol-based fragrances and many flavor extracts are flammable. Even a small vial is regulated for air.

Mixed boxes

An aerosol in a kit can stop the whole box. We flag it at intake and always route it separately.
